Fire in Monemvasia – Water Drops from 4 Aircraft and 1 Helicopter

A wildfire broke out in an agricultural forest area in the Karavostasi region of the Municipality of Monemvasia at noon on Monday (June 23, 2025). To extinguish the fire in Laconia, 44 firefighters with three ground teams from the 9th Forest Firefighting Unit and 10 vehicles were mobilized. Four aircraft and one helicopter are conducting water drops over the affected agricultural forest area in the Karavostasi region of the Municipality of Monemvasia. Mobilized resources include 44 personnel, 3 ground teams from the 9th Forest Firefighting Unit, 10 vehicles, 4 aircraft, and 1 helicopter. Assistance was also provided by water carriers from Civil Protection.
