Fire Engulfs Technology Store on 3rd September Street in Athens

A massive fire broke out early Wednesday morning, at around 4:00 AM (19.03.2025), in central Athens at a technology store located on 3rd September Street. The store was completely destroyed by the flames despite the immediate response of firefighters who worked tirelessly to bring the blaze under control. According to ERT reports, the fire started for unknown reasons on the ground floor of a multi-story residential building and flames reached up to the second-floor balconies without causing injury to any residents. Fifteen firefighters with five vehicles, including a specialized ladder truck, were deployed to tackle the inferno. Due to smoke and fire hazards, authorities temporarily halted traffic in the area for at least an hour. Unfortunately, all that remains of the store are ashes.
