Fire Engulfs Domokos: Aerial Units Battle Flames in Gavrakia

A coordinated response was initiated Wednesday morning (June 18, 2025), after a fire broke out near Domokos. The blaze started in an agricultural area, consuming dry grass in the Gavrakia region shortly after 10:00 AM. Due to high temperatures and the difficult terrain, five firefighting vehicles from Domokos, Lamia, and Makrakomi were immediately dispatched to the scene, along with one team of Ground Troops. In the firefighting effort, 20 firefighters joined forces with two aircraft to combat the flames. The Domokos Municipality provided significant water supply support for the firefighting vehicles.
