A wildfire erupted on Wednesday afternoon (25/06/2025) near the Loukisia area in Evia. According to initial reports from local authorities, the fire is burning dry grass close to the Anthedon estate within the municipal unit of Loukisios in the municipality of Chalkideon. The fire is currently located at the beachfront and has not yet crossed the road where several hotels are situated. Strong firefighting forces from Chalkida, machinery from the Municipality of Chalkidona, and Deputy Mayor Kostas Karvounis are rushing to the scene.
