Fire Breaks Out in Pteleos Village, Magnesia: Three Aircraft Deployed

A fire broke out in the village of Pteleos in Magnesia at noon on Tuesday (24.06.2035). The fire occurred in an agricultural area near Pteleos Almyros in Magnesia, prompting an immediate response from the Fire Service. Thirty-nine firefighters rushed to the scene, including two teams of ground troops from the 10th EMODE, supported by two aircraft and one helicopter. Additionally, 11 vehicles, two water-dropping planes, and one firefighting helicopter were mobilized for the operation. The blaze started in an olive grove close to the settlement of Karavotsaki and Leuke. Strong firefighting forces are currently working to contain the flames. Firefighting vehicles from Almyros and Volos also contributed to the extinguishing efforts. Furthermore, water-carrying and sprinkling machinery was activated by the Pteleos Community. According to reports, the fire is partially under control, but firefighters continue their efforts until the entire front is completely extinguished. Fortunately, no people or homes were endangered by the flames.
