A major firefighting operation is underway in Oinoi, Boeotia, following a wildfire that broke out in the area at midday on Thursday, 23 July 2026. The fire is burning through agricultural and forested land, and efforts are focused on preventing it from spreading further.

According to an official tweet from the Hellenic Fire Service, the blaze is affecting low vegetation in Oinoi. Responding to the emergency, authorities deployed 33 firefighters, including two ground teams from the 4th Mobile Unit of the Fire Service (4th EMODE), seven vehicles, two aircraft (A/F), and two helicopters (E/P).
