A fire erupted at noon on June 7, 2025, in the settlement of Stenyclaros in Messinia. The wildfire spread across an agricultural and forested area in the Stenyclaros region of the Oichalia municipality. Firefighters were immediately mobilized to tackle the blaze. A team of 40 firefighters, supported by two ground units from the 9th Forest Firefighting Unit (EMODE), 11 vehicles, and two aircraft are actively battling the flames. According to reports, residential areas are not currently under threat.
