Fire Breaks Out in Forested Area in Samos – Major Battle Against Flames

A fire broke out in a forested area in the Mylos region of Kokkari, Samos. A large-scale operation by the Fire Service is underway to extinguish the blaze. According to the Fire Service, the fire in Samos started earlier today (16.03.2025) in the afternoon. In an effort to control the fire, 30 firefighters, supported by one ground unit from the 14th EMODE battalion and 10 vehicles, are actively working on the scene. Additionally, volunteers and water-donating organizations are providing assistance.
