Fire Breaks Out in Arcadia’s Veligosti Area – 6 Aircraft Deployed

A wildfire erupted at noon on Wednesday (25.06.2025) in the Veligosti area of Arcadia. The fire is spreading across an agricultural and forested expanse, prompting an immediate response from firefighting forces. Local authorities have requested urgent aerial support to contain the blaze. Currently, 46 firefighters are on-site with 12 vehicles and two teams of ground troops from the 9th Forest Firefighting Unit. Additionally, four aircraft, two helicopters, water tankers, and machinery from the Greek Army are assisting in extinguishing efforts.
