Two civilian helicopters collided mid-air and crashed in the town of Eura, western Finland, on Saturday morning (17.05.25). A representative of the Finnish National Police stated that neither any Finnish military helicopter nor international military aircraft were involved in the incident. Both helicopters had taken off simultaneously from Tallinn, Estonia’s capital, but their final destination remains unclear. “One fell like a stone, the other more slowly. I didn’t hear any noise,” said a local resident, noting they saw the two helicopters flying close to each other. The wreckage of both aircraft has been found near Eura airport, with no information on casualties confirmed so far.
