Today, Friday, May 30th, the final tables of Beneficiaries, Recipients, and Excluded Individuals for the 2025-2026 program of the Public Employment Service (DYPAS) have been released. The social tourism program by DYPAS will launch for the first time on June 1st, 2025—earlier than ever before—and includes 300,000 vouchers with a budget of 50 million euros. Beneficiaries can stay up to six nights at an accommodation selected from the ‘Provider Registry’ after coordinating with the provider, with minimal personal contribution. Specifically, in Leros, Lesbos, Chios, Kos, Samos & Rhodes, stays of up to ten nights are free, while in the municipalities of Western Evia, Evros, and Thessaly (excluding Sporades), up to twelve nights are covered without charge. Additionally, ferry tickets are subsidized, with participation costs at 25%, or free for certain groups. Prices increase by 20% during peak months such as August, Christmas, and Easter. The increased subsidy applies year-round for accommodations in Western Evia, Evros, and Thessaly (excluding Sporades). Beneficiaries print their vouchers through DYPAS e-services and present them at travel agencies or ticket offices. No documentation is required except for large families. DYPAS does not interfere in the ticket issuance process. Web services issue the tickets and activate the vouchers for both departure and return trips. Travel is only allowed to/from the chosen tourist accommodation. Last year’s beneficiaries who haven’t activated their vouchers can still take holidays until June 30th, 2025. All information about the program is available online.
