Fauci: Indian mutation the biggest threat in the fight against coronavirus

The coronavirus delta variant, first detected in India, poses the greatest threat to the US effort to eradicate Covid-19 in its territory, said White House pandemic adviser Anthony Fauci.

Dr. Fauci stressed that US-approved vaccines, including the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine, are effective against the new variant of Covid-19.

More than 150 million people in the United States, or more than 45% of the population, have been fully vaccinated, according to the latest federal government figures released.
