The 24-year-old driver and his two 21-year-old friends tragically perished when their car veered off the road for unknown reasons, collided with a tree, and overturned on the Sparta-Mistra provincial highway.
Speaking to newsit.gr, the father of one of the 21-year-olds who lost his life in the fatal crash recounts their last conversation: “I spoke with him for the last time last night.” According to the grieving father, his son hadn’t mentioned any plans to go out. “I last spoke with my child last night before this happened. He didn’t tell us he was going out or planning a drive; maybe he decided at the last minute,” he said.
The father of the young passenger expressed that they still have no clear understanding of the circumstances leading to the accident. “We don’t know at all how it happened. I found out from the police early in the morning. I’m not doing well at all; I can’t stand upright, and I don’t know how this could have happened,” he concluded, overwhelmed with grief.
