Fatal Accident on Athens Highway – Woman Dragged by Vehicle

A fatal accident occurred late Wednesday evening (May 21, 2025), when a 32-year-old woman attempted to cross the Athens-Corinth highway perpendicularly and was dragged by a vehicle. The tragic incident resulted in the death of the 32-year-old woman, while the two passengers in the vehicle, aged 45 and 23 (male and female respectively), were injured. The woman was thrown into the opposite lane of traffic and succumbed to her injuries. The two injured individuals were transported to Trias Hospital, with the female passenger in critical condition. Residents of the area have criticized the insufficient lighting at the location of the accident.
