«Falling» signatures with Lamda for marina mega yachts in Corfu – What are the big investments

At the forefront is the signing of its new sub-concession contract to Lamda Marinas, between the member of the Lamda Development Group and the Greek State (Ministries of Finance, Shipping, Tourism). The sub-concession aims to create the first mega yachts marina in the Ionian Sea and in this case on the most popular tourist island. Investments in the zero construction and development of the marina are expected to exceed 50m euros. According to the contract, the concession will last 40 years. The marina of Corfu is located on the east coast of Corfu Island and west of the existing commercial port, in proximity to the cruise station. As you know, the company of the Lamda Group, with experience in the field and through infrastructure such as Marina Flisvos (while it will also be modernized by St. Cosmas in Greek where more than 300 places will be created) had won a contest that promoted TAIPEDE. After the contract was signed, its ratification in the Greek Parliament followed with the aim of financial closure in the year or early 2025. The licensed marina of large yachts is located within Corfu Port and is located west of the cruise pier, near the Passenger Station. It will be able to serve 98 vessels up to 140 meters long and has a land zone of 39,400 sq mi, which can be extended and cover an area of approximately 100,000 sq mi. As Lamda reported last year, the project includes land surface development up to 7,800 sq.m., with commercial shops, restaurants, hotels and offices. The land area also includes extensive green and pedestrian areas, sports facilities and parking spaces. Apart from the investments mentioned above, the total value of the price paid by the preferred investor, i.e. LAMDA MARINAS INVESTMENTS SMSA, on the basis of the contract signed will exceed EUR 89 million at a depth of 40 years. Part of the fee will be paid one-off at the beginning of the sub-delegation while the balance will be a percentage of the sub-departure’s turnover and will be paid annually. Since the reason for Corfu, TAIPED also has an ongoing competition for the refuge of tourist boats in the position of Cave on the island, with a deadline for the submission of tenders being 20 December 2024. The duration of the Subcommittee will be twenty-five (25) years. The total surface area of the land zone of the shelter is 7,800 sq.m. while the sea zone occupies 35,000 sq.m. Important projects for the full development of the tourist boat shelter in the cave position are under way and are expected to be completed within the next few months. The completion of the projects will create a total of 80 docking positions for recreational craft up to 25 metres long, including the formation of a traffic network for pedestrians and vehicles, parking spaces, benches and green spaces.
