Faidias Panagiotou and Andreas Mikroutsikos in an Enjoyable Dialogue: ‘You Are a Kind of Political UFO’

In front of the cameras, with Cypriot MEP Faidias Panagiotou and seasoned host Andreas Mikroutsikos exchanging playful jabs, humor was at the forefront. Upon entering the set, Panagiotou joked with the host about wearing a suit for the first time in his life to troll Mikroutsikos, who had strongly criticized him for participating in recent carnival events. “Mr. Mikroutsikos, it’s an honor! I traveled from Cyprus just to come and see you,” said Panagiotou while warmly embracing the host. Mikroutsikos replied, “My boy, I came from Artemis just to see you. You said a politician should dress well. Why don’t you dress well since you’re not a politician?” Panagiotou retorted, “Sir, it’s an honor. You say everything behind my back. Now it’s time to say it all to my face.” Mikroutsikos quipped, “Do you think I’m holding back? So you’re a bit masochistic, huh? You like hearing it.” He added, “He’s not a PASOK member; he’s something else. A new political classification that hasn’t been recorded yet. You’re a kind of political UFO, and I mean that in a good way.” Panagiotou defended himself saying, “When you wear nice clothes, you look more important. I want to be who I am every day, to be myself.”
