Eyewitness on the island of Aegina: “The picture was tragic, rushed to pull people from the sea”

Eyewitness described a dramatic accident which took place off the coast of Aegina with the collision of two vessels that took the lives of 3 people…
“We were expecting to go to the Monastery. We had already put into the boat. They called us that a boat had collided with another. We ran straight to get the people out of the sea,” said the MEGA Dimitris Λώλης, who participated in the rescue of shipwreck.
“The picture was tragic. There were people in the sea, other people were swimming, other people were unconscious, they were drowned. They were great pictures,” continued he, while he added that although he doesn’t know how many people aboard the tourist boat, he saw “at least 9 people in the sea”.
“We had to throw them life preservers. Those who were conscious were trying to swim. Got 2 people to the sea to collect people who had drowned. We put them up, we did compressions,” continues the description of mr. Λώλης.
When asked about how was the accident, mr Λώλης explained that there was no speedboat.
