Today (March 18, 2025), an extension for submission to 7 energy efficiency programs was announced. Specifically, for the Save 2025 program, applications can now be submitted until April 13, 2025. Additionally, for the Change Heating System and Solar Water Heaters, Improving Energy Efficiency of Mountain Tourist Accommodations, Athena, Phoebus, and Promoting Energy Efficiency in Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Companies programs, the deadline is extended until April 30, 2025. Lastly, for the Energy Storage Systems in Businesses program, the deadline is May 31, 2025. The Ministry of Environment and Energy made this horizontal extension for all seven programs to assist potential beneficiaries in gathering and submitting the required documentation outlined in the program guides. These programs, totaling €872.7 million, include Save 2025 (€396.1 million), which focuses on home energy upgrades; Change Heating System and Solar Water Heaters (€223.2 million); Athena (€37.2 million) targeting kindergartens and municipal schools; Phoebus (€12.4 million) for daycare centers; Mountain Tourist Accommodations Energy Efficiency Improvement (€10 million); Promoting Energy Efficiency in Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Companies (€40 million); and Energy Storage Systems in Businesses (€153.7 million). All programs are part of Greece’s Recovery and Resilience Plan ‘Greece 2.0’ funded by the European Union’s NextGeneration EU.
