According to Reuters, a series of explosions were reported over Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Monday afternoon (June 23). An Axios journalist, citing an Israeli official, stated that Iran had launched six missiles against U.S. bases in Qatar. A source familiar with the situation told Sky News that Iranian missiles targeted the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Later, it was revealed that another missile was fired at a U.S. base in Iraq, in retaliation for Washington’s strikes on Islamic Republic nuclear facilities last weekend. Earlier reports indicated that air defense systems from Al Udeid intercepted incoming Iranian ballistic missiles. Sirens have reportedly sounded in Kuwait and Bahrain.
