Explosions were heard across various areas of Tehran around 15:30 local time today (15:00 Greek time), marking the sixth day of military conflict between Iran and Israel. The cause of the explosions in Tehran stems from new Israeli strikes, occurring just hours after Iran’s Supreme Leader issued threats against both Israel and the U.S. According to a French press journalist, a cloud of black smoke rose into the sky from eastern areas of the Iranian capital. Israel stated that these attacks targeted military sites linked to the regime. The IDF confirmed striking over 1,100 targets in Iran since the start of Operation ‘Rising Lion’ on June 13, 2025. Meanwhile, Iranian human rights activists reported nearly 600 deaths since the onset of the Israeli offensive. The ongoing conflict sees Iran launching daily ballistic missile waves at Israel, with most being intercepted. Since the war began, 24 people have been killed in Israel and over 800 injured by Iranian attacks. On the Iranian side, according to HRANA, a U.S.-based NGO, 585 people have died, including civilians and soldiers, with 1,326 injured.
