In the early hours of Saturday night (April 12), a violent clash erupted near the Kallidromiou police station in Exarchia, resulting in significant damage. According to police reports, approximately 50 unidentified individuals, leaving an event on Strephi Hill, attacked law enforcement with Molotov cocktails and stones. The police responded by deploying chemical agents and flashbang grenades to disperse the crowd. As a result, 21 cars were damaged, five of which were completely destroyed, while a residential building and a store also suffered damage. Additionally, 72 people were arrested, and one police officer was injured. Firefighters worked tirelessly for over an hour to extinguish fires set in trash bins used as roadblocks during the ongoing clashes.
