Exam Dates and Lottery for Model and Experimental Schools Announced

in

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, entrance exams will be held for students applying to the preparatory classes (1st Grade of Gymnasium/1st Grade of Lyceum) in Model Schools (P.S.) and on Friday, May 2, 2025, a public electronic lottery will take place for admissions to Experimental Schools (PEI.S.) and to determine priority numbers for resolving ties in admissions to Model Schools and Ecclesiastical Schools. Graduates of connected Model Gymnasia are automatically admitted to the corresponding Model Lyceum, provided they have successfully completed their studies. If vacancies arise in the 1st Grade of connected Lyceums, these will be filled through a skills test. In non-connected Model Lyceums, all seats in the 1st Grade will be allocated through exams (skills test). Candidates will be evaluated in three subjects: language, mathematics (in common questions with applicants for Model Schools during simultaneous exams), and religious studies. The assessment questions are multiple-choice. Interested students may apply for one or more types of the aforementioned schools. Parents and guardians will be invited via an official notice posted on the websites of the Ministry of Education, Religion, and Sports and the Governing Committee of Model and Experimental Schools (D.E.P.P.S.) to submit an electronic application along with necessary documentation on a special platform: A) regarding the network of P.S. and PEI.S. on the D.E.P.P.S. website, B) for admission procedures to Model and Experimental Schools on the National Registry of Administrative Procedures-Mitos (for both Model and Experimental Schools). It is reminded that the table with Ecclesiastical Schools and their intake numbers can be found at the following link, and the table with Model and Experimental Schools is available on the D.E.P.P.S. website.
