Eva Longoria made it clear that she did not leave the US due to Donald Trump’s re-election

She clarified that she did not leave the U.S. due to the new president, although she had stated that the country has become “difficult”. The actress confirmed that she moved to Europe due to her professional obligations. “I didn’t leave because of the political environment. I left because my work took me there,” said Eva Longoria denying the rumours that wanted her to leave the US because of Donald Trump’s election. “I am proud American. I was always proud of American and proud Texan. I didn’t want it to be considered as leaving because of Trump or because of the election. No relation”. Longoria was Trump’s staunch opponent and had described him as “a convicted criminal who launches so much hatred” in the wake of his election victory. However, he insists that his victory was not enough to drive her out of the country. The actress explained her decision during a call to Ana Navarro’s friend, who appeared on Behind The Table’s podcast. “Will you please inform them that I did not leave the United States because of Trump?” he said speaking to a journalist. The star revealed in an earlier interview that her family no longer lives in the United States and shares her time between Mexico and Spain. In an interview with French magazine Marie Claire for the November cover, Longoria attributed the decision to the country’s “changing atmosphere” after the Covid-19 pandemic, homelessness and high taxation in California. He also recognized that they were “privileged” enough to move, saying: “Most Americans are not so lucky. They will stay stuck in this dystopian country.” The Desperate Housewives star is regarded as a power broker for women and Latinos in Democratic Party politics.
