Coach Ergin Ataman was fined €10,000 for similar statements during a press conference after the game. Kentrell Naz was fined €4,500 for showing ‘a lack of respect towards the opposing team during the match against Olympiacos.’ It is worth noting that Panathinaikos issued an official statement questioning the refereeing decisions, suggesting they influenced the outcome of the game. Coach Ergin Ataman echoed these sentiments in his post-game press conference. Kentrell Naz also made a gesture toward Olympiacos fans, which drew a complaint from the rival team, but he avoided any game suspension as the Euroleague judge did not consider the offense severe enough.
