The total insured value in 2023, from 297.5 billion euros in 2022, according to the new study of the Association of Insurance Companies of Greece ( ), which was posted today (31.10.2024) to . The survey of the EUPM relates to the “statistical assets of the year 2023”, the large majority of the contracts concerned residences (1.1 million or 81.1% of the total). The total insured value in terms of cumulative coverage of fire (building and content) and loss of earnings was EUR 331.7 billion, of which EUR 132.8 billion was related to housing insurance and EUR 198.9 billion at other risks. Other risk contracts (i.e. other than residential) were divided by the amount of insured capital into: Insurance value of up to EUR 1 million, between EUR 1 and EUR 3 million, between EUR 3 and EUR 10 million and more than EUR 10 million. As stated, the EUPM investigation collected data on 1.4 million asset cover contracts issued in 2023 and part of them remained in force and within 2024. It is noted that the number of contracts was also counted, and in the case of group contracts the number of risks covered was requested. Where contract partitions were foreseen for payment of payments were counted as a contract overall.
