The first confirmed for 2025 was recorded today, after 40-year-old Eugenia from whom she was brutally beaten by her partner and hospitalized, eventually failed. The unfortunate woman was hospitalized from October at first in the hospital of Xanthi, then in Alexandroupolis and finally in Bulgaria, in critical condition, after her partner beat her up. The 42-year-old locked her in the house and for months beat her up hard. The beating of Eugenia, evolved into a female homicide on 3 January 2025. CORVERSE 40-year-old Eugenia’s best friend spoke at newsit.gr: “I knew Eugenia for more than 8 years. I have the bar in Xanthi where she worked and I had total trust in her and we stayed together until she left to live with the 42 year old. She was a golden girl. She was my best friend. The 42-year-old met him in my store. He was coming as a client. He seemed like a nice, quiet man but we couldn’t understand the truth from a drink he was drinking. Eugenia fell in love with him and they went to live together. From that moment on, while Eugenia called me often, she began to disappear. But he told me he was having fun with him and they were planning on getting married. I was glad because I thought he found a good kid. But it wasn’t. At some point in the summer he called me and told me they had a fight and he hit her for the first time. CORVERSE She then wanted to leave him and leave, but he told her that if she tried to leave, she would bury her in the yard. Eugenia was scared and then for a month she never called me again. He turned off the phones and disappeared. I was afraid he might have killed her. He locked her up and wouldn’t let her talk to us. Eugenia on a fake facebook found me and told me everything. At one point she had tried to leave, but she was caught in the cab, he had her locked up. And when he was away from the house, his mother was sitting there watching her like a muscle. And he finally killed her. And when he hit her last time he was lying about slipping and falling. May he be punished as he should be,” said Eugenia’s friend. In the year The 42-year-old and 40-year-old reportedly had met in October 2024 in Xanthi, where the unfortunate Bulgarian woman worked at a restaurant. According to her own complaint, before leaving her last breath, the man began to become violent from the first weeks of their acquaintance. On 23 October the 40-year-old was transferred to the emergency room of the Sismanoglio Komotini Hospital with broken cervical vertebrae and particularly severe injuries. The woman was immediately transferred to the Intensive Treatment Unit of Alexandroupolis Hospital. The 42-year-old claimed to doctors that the unfortunate woman fell into a hole in the street as they walked… His claims, however, did not convince the doctors, as her extensive injuries gave the image of a heavily abused woman. The coroner who compiled the expert report on the investigation found that the woman’s cervical vertebrae were broken by a strong kick rather than by falling into a hole, as the perpetrator claimed. “He had a broken neck and was not from a fall, but from a blow. The girl was kicked with her leg. There were wounds all over his body. We saw that there were other hits and that’s why I called the police and said it wasn’t the fall on the channel,” said medical professor Paul Pavlidis, according to xronos.gr. The police were immediately informed and the 42-year-old was arrested and charged with five felonies, including attempted homicide with intent in a calm mental state. Despite his excuses he failed to convince a prosecutor and interrogator, who ordered his detention with him being transferred to Komotini prisons. The 40-year-old had been hospitalized in a hospital in Bulgaria, where she had even been placed in the skull, so that she would not move. “She was a living soul, enclosed in a dead body that alone could not perform vital functions such as breath, food, water and anything else,” said Stefana Belyovska’s sister.
“Eugenia tried to leave, he beat her and locked her up,” says her 40-year-old friend who died in Xanthi
