The brother of the 75-year-old man who shot and killed a 50-year-old buyer of his family home before committing suicide on Tuesday afternoon (April 9, 2025) described him as a ‘harsh man.’ Speaking to newsit.gr, the sibling revealed that the deceased had faced repeated pressure from the buyer regarding vacating the property. The victim, a father of four, had purchased the house through foreclosure proceedings. The perpetrator, facing an eviction deadline, resorted to violence. The brother explained that they had not spoken for years due to inheritance disputes. He also noted that the older sibling had been in legal conflicts with their younger sister over similar issues for over a decade. Despite characterizing his brother as tough, he expressed shock at the tragic outcome, emphasizing the once-prominent family background and the significance of their ancestral home.
