Euboea: Missing 57-Year-Old Beekeeper – Left Home for Beehives and Hasn’t Returned

A major concern has arisen in Euboea as a 57-year-old beekeeper from Gymno Eretrias is reported missing. Since midnight, a large-scale operation has been underway to locate him. According to evima.gr, the beekeeper left his home in the village of Gymno Eretrias at noon on March 17, 2025, heading to his beehives in the surrounding area but has not been heard from since. His mobile phone is also turned off. The family alerted the police who are now searching the wider Gymno area with the help of volunteer teams ESDDA, ‘Amarynthia Artemis,’ and ‘Fetesclub4x4’.
