Euboea: 58-Year-Old Dies in Motorcycle Accident – Three Injured in Two Incidents Within Hours

Tragedy struck in Euboea as a 58-year-old passenger on a motorcycle died following an accident on the regional road connecting Istiaia to Aedepsos. The fatal incident occurred late Monday evening (June 30, 2025), when, according to reports from evima.gr, a motorcycle carrying two men veered off the road and crashed. As a result, the 58-year-old passenger sustained fatal injuries, while the 50-year-old driver was transported to the General Hospital of Chalcis by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrived promptly at the scene to investigate the cause of the deadly crash. Meanwhile, just hours earlier, another serious motorcycle accident occurred in Drossia, Chalcis, leaving two young individuals injured. According to reports, near the local cemetery in Drossia, the riders lost control under unclear circumstances, causing the bike to skid and overturn.

The 19-year-old victim was intubated at the hospital before being transferred via ambulance to the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, while his 20-year-old companion suffered severe fractures to his arms, legs, and ribs. Local traffic police are also investigating the causes of this second crash.
