Coronavirus- EU: Signatures fell with Novavax for up to 200 million doses between 2021-2023

Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakidou today signed the EU contract with the US pharmaceutical company Novavax to supply up to 200 million doses of covid-19 vaccine for 2021-2023 after the vaccine has been tested and approved by European Medicines Agency as safe and effective.

The current contract is added to the already wide portfolio of vaccines to be produced in Europe, which includes the contracts with AstraZeneca, Sanofi-GSK, Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, BioNTech-Pfizer, CureVac, Moderna, as well as the integrated exploratory talks with Valneva.
