ERGO Insurance announced yesterday (15.12025) that 50% will limit increases in the lifetime programs of the IOBE health index and that it will ensure that the increase for each customer is limited, with the rate remaining one-digit. In detail the company’s announcement: ‘ERGO Insurance, remaining next to its insured persons, understands the economic challenges facing Greek families and acknowledges the value of private health insurance as an important means of protection. As the adjustment of health insurance is a matter of great concern in recent years, both the consumer public and insurance companies, and taking into account the wider public debate and recent developments around the issue, the Company will take on the absorption of a significant part of the burden resulting from the high cost of health services, with the aim of helping to maintain the sustainability of insurance policies and lighten the financial burden of insured persons. CORVERSE For this reason, ERGO announces that for 2025 the increases in the premiums of life-long health programmes will be reduced on average to 50% of the IOBE health index, which measures in a valid and objective way the annual change in health expenditure. At the same time, ERGO ensures that the increase for each customer will be limited, with the percentage remaining one digit. Our company acknowledges that the final resolution of the problem of high adjustments requires additional initiatives from the State, as well as the cooperation of all stakeholders in a common framework of action.”
