During a communication with his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, Erdogan suggested a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkan in Istanbul. According to SKY correspondent Manolis Kostidis, Erdogan invited both leaders to convene in the Turkish city: ‘We await you and Mr. Pezeshkan in Istanbul for discussions,’ Erdogan told Trump. In response, according to Turkish sources, Trump mentioned that their plane was ready and expressed openness to exploring the possibility of such a meeting.
