Episodes on the way to Israel’s embassy: 20 admissions

They broke out this evening (07.10.2024) in the protest that took place outside the Israeli embassy in Athens, on the occasion of the “black” anniversary of 7 October 2023, the day Hamas attacked Israel. The incidents occurred when the 2,000 protesters of the march reached Psychic at the height of Kifisia and Panormos Streets. Some of the attendees threw stones at the riot squad and lit smokes and fireworks. Police forces responded with crash-gliding bombs, made use of chemicals and eventually advanced to at least 20 imports. After a while, episodes of low intensity broke out outside the Panormos metro stop. More than 2,000 people, groups of the anti-authoritarian area, members of the Palestinian community and leftist organizations participated in the process. The march began at 19:00 with protesters gathering in Freedom Square to climb up to the Israeli embassy in Psychic. As it makes sense on the streets of Athens, a traffic hub prevailed.
