in

A dramatic worsening in the ability of freelancers and farmers to settle their debts through payment plans has been revealed by EOPYY data. According to recent statistics, the ratio between collections from overdue insurance debts via payment plans and those collected outside such arrangements (e.g., through seizures) reached a one-to-one ratio in December 2024. Specifically, the report from the Center for Collection of Insurance Debts (CCID) for Q4 of 2024 indicates that revenues through payment plans from non-salaried insured individuals amounted to €868 million, while revenues from overdue debts collected outside payment plans reached €849 million. This marks a significant shift compared to previous years. In Q4 2023, revenues from payment plans were €643 million versus €580 million collected outside plans. Similarly, in Q4 2022, collections from payment plans were €459 million and €358 million outside plans. The trend shows an alarming increase in the reliance on seizures to collect overdue debts.
