The National Organization for Medicines (EOF) is sounding the alarm about a product called Diaxil, advertised online with false claims of curing diabetes. According to EOF, the product—which lacks official marketing authorization—is being promoted through misleading advertisements that falsely promise effective treatment, superiority over approved medications, and no side effects. The organization stresses that Diaxil has not been evaluated for safety or efficacy. Promotional content features fake endorsements from renowned doctors and fabricated testimonials from satisfied users. Although presented as a ‘dietary supplement’ on some websites, it is marketed for disease treatment, which is illegal. Consumers are urged to remain cautious of online products claiming miraculous health benefits, especially those offering medical advice or guaranteed cures. The unauthorized sale of pharmaceuticals via the internet is strictly prohibited under Greek law.
