In the coming hours, the posting of new ENFIA payments is expected, according to a publication by ertnews. Around 7 million property owners with assets worth 800 billion euros will learn what they need to pay. This year, the number of installments for ENFIA has increased to 12 from 11 last year, with the first installment due at the end of March and the final one by the end of February 2026. Unlike income tax, there is no discount for a lump-sum payment. Another change includes an increase in the ENFIA discount to 20% (from 10% last year) for those who have insured their property valued up to 500,000 euros against earthquakes, fire, and flooding for the entire 2024. For properties with higher values, the discount remains at 10%. Proportional discounts apply for shorter insurance periods: 7.5% for 9-month coverage and 2.5% for 3-month coverage. Vulnerable social groups are eligible for reduced or zero ENFIA payments. Overall, it is estimated that 2.43 billion euros will flow into public funds from ENFIA this year.
