(Title) In general endoofthalmitida evacuated in three university clinics hospitals of Thessaloniki, 13 persons who underwent cataract surgery at private clinic in Serres.
According to the physician’s private clinic while the surgery was the desired results, however, patients showed inflammation of the day after surgery. All 13 patients are in better health.
The authorities about the incident alerted the director of the Ophthalmology Department of the Hippocratic Hospital Thessaloniki.
The National Center for Health Operations instructed the private clinic to stop the surgeries until further notice . Minister for Health and Social Solidarity Marilisa Xenogiannakopoulou instructed the Inspector General of SEFYP M. Sampatakaki to proceed with further investigation of the case.
