End of alarm for suspicious bag in Stournarari – There was a controlled explosion

The alarm signaled Saturday morning (08.03.2024) in the center of Athens and specifically on 33 street next to the Polytechnic for a suspicious bag. Police on the existence of the suspected bag on Stournari Street alerted residents of the area. There was a major mobilisation and at the point the Department of Detonation of Explosive Mechanisms (T.E.E.) rushed M.) where there was a controlled explosion with the bag containing nothing suspicious. Police briefly proceeded to close Stournaris Street for security reasons.
