Emergency Meeting of EU Foreign Ministers Called Over Middle East Developments

European diplomacy chief Kája Kálas has convened an emergency video conference of EU foreign ministers for Tuesday (June 17, 2025), focusing on the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, as announced by a senior official in her office. “Given the seriousness of the situation in the Middle East,” the 27 member states are called upon to coordinate their efforts to “reduce tensions,” stated the official regarding the urgent video conference of EU foreign ministers amid Israeli and Iranian attacks.
