ELTA: New Package Delivery Scam Alert – What to Watch For

ELTA has issued a public warning about a new phishing scam impersonating its brand to defraud unsuspecting citizens. Fraudsters are sending fake SMS messages titled ‘ELTA: Package Delivery Notification’, claiming a delivery attempt failed on February 3, 2026, and urging recipients to click a malicious link by February 5 to reschedule or redirect the package. ELTA confirms it never sends SMS or email requesting bank account details, credit card information, or login credentials for package delivery. The company stresses that such messages are illegal impersonations, advises the public not to reply, not to click any links, and not to share personal or financial data, and has reported the incident to Greece’s Cybercrime Unit.
