Elon Musk Criticizes Treatment of Marine Le Pen: Radical Left’s Playbook

Elon Musk has spoken out regarding the sentencing of French far-right leader Marine Le Pen, who was convicted for misuse of public funds. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk criticized what he perceives as the radical left’s tendency to abuse legal systems when they cannot win through democratic elections. He warned that there will be a reaction similar to the legal attacks against Donald Trump. The court in Paris ruled that the total misused amount reached 2.9 million euros, involving European Parliament members using EU funds to hire assistants who worked not for them but for Le Pen’s far-right party. Despite her strong polling numbers leading into upcoming presidential elections, this does not guarantee ultimate success, given her previous losses to Emmanuel Macron in the second round in both 2017 and 2022.
