Elizabeth Rosner
Elizabeth Rosner grew up in Schenectady, New York as a daughter of Jewish holocaust survivors. Her father, who was born in Hamburg, Germany, was sent to Buchenwald concentration camp, while her mother survived the war by hiding in the Polish countryside.

We’ve approached wars and the way they are depicted by history and world artists by showing century-long eras, continental struggles, and the larger world wars. Now we want to continue the series by getting closer to individual battles, beginning with the Greek and Persian battles of ancient times. The first is an overview, and glance at Greek military strategy, the phalanx, and the hoplite.
