The well-known actress described how she made the decision to adopt her son, the journey she made to Africa to meet him but also the difficulties she went through. “I really wanted adoption, I thought about it for years. I make decisions about my life very easily. Eugenia Dimitropoulou, who has adopted Eva, is a creature that has helped me very much. From where I was thinking about how all the processes would be done, now I have this angel in my house. Whoever wants to do it is done,” the actress said. “We went through discussions, we went through committee, it’s not just things. I went alone to Sierra Leone. I saw a picture of him and went to see him in person. When I saw him, I went crazy and went crazy with all the kids. I went to see him the second time and I had the chance to make the decision to come out immediately, so I came back with the child,” she said about her trip to Sierra Leone. “When I saw him I said ‘this is my son’. I sent him to Mano. When I went to Africa he came into my arms right away. The hard part was when I left the first time and I had to leave him behind. She called me Mom from the first minute,” she continued her description. “We speak English but now, because his school also speaks Greek, he has begun to learn. We came to Greece in July. The only problem we’ve faced so far is sleeping. He does not want to part with his toys and his mom,” he commented on the life that began together in Greece. “My psychologist is helping me very much. If I have to talk to a child psychologist, I will. I have an angel at home now. I know we will go through various phases, but this is the case with all the children,” Elizabeth Mutafi concluded.
