The energy regulatory authority has published its decision on the new grid fees that electricity consumers will have to pay. According to RAE’s announcement, the new charges will take effect from early July, with revealing data also provided regarding network losses due to power theft and other factors. Starting with the new charges, they are as follows per consumption category: Overall, compared to what was previously in place, the annual fixed charge per kVA increases for all categories except households. Meanwhile, the variable charge per kilowatt-hour decreases across all categories. A total of €1.13 billion will be recovered through these charges by DEHDDH. It should be emphasized, however, that this amount is significantly increased due to network losses, primarily caused by power theft. Specifically, the operator’s data showed that lost megawatt-hours for this year are estimated at 5,655,240. The majority of these are attributed to residential and commercial low-voltage consumers.
