European Investment Bank (EIB). In particular, proposals have been submitted by the TERNA group for three wind power of about 50 megawatts in the region of Tanagra (Δερβενοχώρια) and admie s. a for four Distribution Centers in Attica, Chania, Larissa, greece.
The investment plan of the TERNA group, which has been approved by the EIB on 23 September, without, however, yet been determined the level of funding provided for the construction of three wind farms 17, 14 and 16.5 megawatts each in the region of Tanagra. The wind will have wind turbines of 2 to 3 megawatts.
According to sources, the company, the budget of the total investment amounts to about 54 million, while the project is at an advanced level of development. So the first is expected to be operational in December 2016 and the other two in the first quarter of 2017.
The investment program of admie s., regarding the construction, modernisation or extension of three Distribution Centers in order to meet the growing needs areas, or to modernise existing facilities. The total budget of the projects amounts to eur 170 million, while the funding requested from the EIB eur 70 million.
The interesting thing is that all of the proposed projects, were designed and studied in 2007 and 2008, the PPC PPC +0,77%. However, for various reasons, their implementation has not advanced. The most important of the four projects is the construction of a new Distribution Center in Keratea and the replacement of the existing Distribution Center Ampelokipon with a new closed type.
In particular, this is the Area that will feed the local BIO.USA. which requires considerable force. Also will cover at the same time and in the neighbouring areas (Huts, Lagonissi, Porto Rafti, etc.), contributing at the same time the servicing of existing and future electricity needs of the wider region of South-eastern Attica, in the long term, so as to ensure the conditions for the smooth economic and social development, given the rapid development of these areas.
The Distribution Center Ambelokipi closed type, will be built on a private plot of land at the junction of Soutsos and Felt, where it is located and operated from 1966 substation.
The choice of a particular position is associated in principle with the desirability and importance of the project, which aims to ensure the adequacy and reliability of electricity supply to the wider area of the municipality of Athens.
