Egyptian Man Stabs Fellow Countryman in Heart, Continues Collecting Strawberries

New details have emerged regarding the incident involving a 24-year-old Egyptian man who was fatally stabbed today at noon (May 17, 2025) in the Psari Vardas area. Reports indicate that the victim and the 23-year-old perpetrator, both from Egypt, got into an argument while collecting strawberries. The assailant then plunged a small knife into the victim’s heart, causing him to collapse bleeding on the ground. According to information from ilialive.gr, after committing the murder in front of dozens of other workers, the perpetrator continued picking strawberries as if nothing had happened. Emergency services rushed to the scene, transporting the bleeding victim to the Health Center of Lower Achaia, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect has been arrested by authorities, and the case is now being handled by the Heliada department for crime investigation and prosecution.
