Egypt: Video Shows Tourist Submarine Sinking in Seconds – Dramatic Footage

The public has been shown dramatic video footage capturing the tragic moments when a tourist submarine sank, resulting in the loss of six lives. The tragedy occurred in the Hurghada area on the Red Sea coast, with the submarine sinking rapidly within seconds, as seen in the clips published by Nexta. The vessel ‘SINDBAD’ carried 45 Russian tourists, including many children. So far, 19 passengers have been rescued, while nine have been transferred to the hospital, four of whom are in critical condition. The submarine was touring the coral reefs of the Red Sea when the disaster struck. In contrast to a traditional submarine, it does not fully submerge, allowing passengers to observe marine life from the lower deck. The vessel sank near the marina of a famous hotel in Hurghada, according to sources cited by Al Masry Al Youm.
