Over 17 people are missing after the sinking of a tourist boat in . According to the authorities the “Sea Story” had 45 on board among them 31 tourists from various countries and 14 people crew. The ship sank off the town of Marsha Alam and authorities are looking for 17 missing persons. The ship broadcast a distress call early in the morning and had sailed on Saturday (23/11/24) for a five-day dive trip with 31 tourists and 14 crew. The survivors were recovered in the Wadi el-Gemal area, which is located south of Marsa Alam, and were taken to the hospital. The Egyptian navy warship El Fateh and military aircraft are intensifying their efforts to locate the missing.
