EFET Recalls Fresh Pastries Due to Undeclared Allergens

The EFET (Greek Food Authority) has issued a recall for fresh pastries filled with spinach and pine nuts due to the presence of undeclared allergens. The affected products, originating from Italy and sold under the brand name ‘Bertagni Plant Cuisine,’ may contain traces of peanuts due to cross-contamination of ingredients, despite this not being indicated on the labeling. Consumers allergic to peanuts are advised not to consume these products. The recall pertains to items with expiration dates of 17/2/25, 27/2/25, and 11/03/25. These pastries were distributed by ‘ALPHA BETA VASILopoulos MONOPROSWPI A.E.’ and have already been removed from store shelves. Consumers who have purchased these products and are allergic to peanuts should avoid consuming them.
