The former Formula 1 team principal, Eddie Jordan, passed away at his home in South Africa at the age of 76 after a battle with prostate cancer, as announced by his family on Thursday (March 20, 2025). The Irish entrepreneur, who later became a television analyst and businessman, led his eponymous team (Jordan Grand Prix) from 1991 to 2005. Today, the team is known as Aston Martin. “EJ brought incredible energy, charm, and his unmistakable Irish presence wherever he went. His absence leaves a huge void in all of us,” stated the family in their announcement. In December 2024, Eddie Jordan revealed that he had been diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer, which later spread to his spinal column and pelvis.
